Changing the DNS Settings
- Open the Menu by pressing the "Menu" button.
- Use the navigational pad to select "Network", then click to enter the sub menu.
- Select "Network Settings".
- Your TV will now tell you how you have it connected to the Internet. Press "Start".
- If you have a wireless network, you'll have to select your network and enter your passkey. If you have a wired connection, this will not appear. Your device will now test that it's connected to the Internet.
- Next, select "IP Settings". Scroll down to "DNS setting" and put the Getflix DNS server address, then press OK.
- Your connection will test itself again, press "Next" to save the settings and exit the menu.
Changing the Country
Changing the country on the Smart TV will make it show different apps depending on the location selected. Most users change the country to the "United States" in order to get both the Netflix and Hulu Plus apps.
- Press the Menu button and scroll down to "Smart Features".
- Scroll down to "Reset Smart Hub". Enter 4 zeroes.
- Smart Hub will reset and come up with Reset Completed.
- In the Menu screen that will remain on the TV, select "Open SmartHub".
- Run through the initial setup process.
- When you arrive at the Terms and Conditions screen, please press the following on the remote control: Fast forward, 2, 8, 9, Rewind.
- The Internet Service Location Setup screen will appear.
- Select the country then press Enter.
- Once done, just go through the rest of the setup to complete.
